A negative fetal fibronectin (fFN) test result has a high predictive value, allowing you to reassure symptomatic patients.

NPV in symptomatic patients for delivery within1,2:

7 days = 99.5%
14 days = 99.2%
< 37 weeks gestation = 84.5%
  • Less intervention
  • Avoidance of hospitalizations
  • Reassurance for physicians and patients
